VAlentines Day

Well I had a great Valentines Day. Chas is so good to me throughout the year that I really can't ever complain. He got me and the girls some roses, which they absolutely LOVE! and Brady a little soccer tin with chocolates, sorry Beckett you are too young! Then we went out for dinner with some awesome friends of ours, then to our stake gold and green ball. Chas is such a sport to come with me and we even danced a little. It was a lot of fun, for me anyway hopefully as fun for him even though he did have to dance. But he did learn to waltz and we always like 2 stepping and some swing, all in all it was a great tme. I even bought some new shoes AND a dress AND some jewelry for the event. If any of you know me that well, you know that was a BIG deal. I felt totally out of my comfort zone, being "dressed" up, but I do have to admit that it did feel good to get a little dressed up. (Marissa I even bought some high heel shoes, which Brooklyn LOVES! I knew you would be proud of me!) So in the last month I have doubled my shoe collection from 1 to 3, and I haven't got a new necklace since Aaron and Marrisa's wedding! So sad and pathetic, I know! But hey I am trying.

On to other things, we got the bathroom all finished. It looks so good, so much cleaner and I actually feel like it gets clean, not so dark and dungy. Our bedroom now has carpet and paint. We still have to put the new window in and the trim, but it is coming. It doesn't feel like the dungeon anymore. I feel like I could actually hang out in there now! So NICE! So here are long overdue pictures

LOVE the blue in the bathroom! It looks great. I suppose I should post how we painted our upstairs bathroom, but maybe I'll do that after we get the inner room painted too (it's pee yellow, in the bathroom!)

Brooklyn or Emree?

Brooklyn or Emree?
Just thought you all might like to see how much Brooklyn and Emree look alike, its kind of scary actually! Especially that Emree wears all the clothes that Brooklyn used to wear, I better make sure I get the right name to the right picture in the scrapbooks...well photo albums anyway. This is Brooklyn when she was 10 months old!

My Pride and Joy!
Next to my kids this is my pride and joy, I love working in the garden! Chas likes it too, he doesn't have to weed! Actually he always takes care of the kids while I spend time there. It's so nice!

Funny Story 1

Well I haveto share this funny story about Brooklyn. There is a little girl in our primary who got her appendix out shortly after she was baptized and showed Brooklyn her scar, so here is Brooklyn's conversation with me the other day. Brooklyn: "Mom I don't think I want to get baptized." Me: "Why not?" Brook: "It's too scary." And I'm thinking she loves the water, what is the problem? Me: "Whats scary about it?" Brook: "I don't want to go to the hospital and be cut open after I am baptized." I started laughing!!! "You think everyone has to be cut open after they get baptized?" Brook: yes, Jenny did and she even showed me her scar. So I had to explain to her that that was not part of getting baptized, it just happened that it was close to the same time with Jenny. I thought it was so hilarious, you never know what your kids are actually thinking!!
