Every Monday Brooklyn has to write a paper on a current event that has happened in the last week. So this week she decided to do it about General Conference. I was totally surprised! She filled the paper out and handed it in. It was kind of neat to see her take the initiative and do some missionary work right in school. Doesn't get much bolder than that. She is a good example to me.
Yesterday I had an awesome experience. I have been wondering lately what I could do to help one of my children (specifically) recognize the promptings of the holy ghost. As I was doing my personal study yesterday, this is what I read, " If you want your children to recognize the promptings of the the holy ghost you need to study the scriptures with them." (Elder Richard G. Scott) Wowsers!!!! If that was not a direct answer to prayer! I am keenly aware that Heavenly Father knows who I am and cares about each of his children. I told the child about this experience and told him how important he is to Heavenly Father because He answered this Momma's prayer. I also asked him if he would start to read with me every night and he agreed. He does read by himself, but it is sporadic, I rely on the promise given by Elder Scott and look forward to the experiences we will have! What a blessing the gospel is in my life!

Brooklyn or Emree?
Just thought you all might like to see how much Brooklyn and Emree look alike, its kind of scary actually! Especially that Emree wears all the clothes that Brooklyn used to wear, I better make sure I get the right name to the right picture in the scrapbooks...well photo albums anyway. This is Brooklyn when she was 10 months old!

Next to my kids this is my pride and joy, I love working in the garden! Chas likes it too, he doesn't have to weed! Actually he always takes care of the kids while I spend time there. It's so nice!
