Delicious!!!

Pretty Pumpkin Cinnamon Buns
(must be Canadian using the term "buns" instead of "rolls") Ok so I have been a little busy!! Thus my non blogging streak. I canned 30 quarts of pumpkin the other day, so I have been looking for some yummy pumpkin recipes. I ran across this one the other day and made it today, can I say delicious!!!! HOLY COW, these were so good! My kids loved them even more than "normal" ones, so I guess the recipe has to go into my book. Anway here is the recipe
2 tlbs. yeast
1/2 warm water
4 eggs
1 c. shortening
1 c. pumpkin
1 c. warm milk
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. instant vanilla pudding mix
1/3 c. instant butterscotch pudding mix
1 tea. salt
7-8 c. flour

Filling:
brown sugar, butter, cinnamon (just make the inside like all cinnamon rolls: butter, sprinkle cinnamon and sugar

Icing:
3 tlbs. water
2 tlbs. butter, softened
1 tea. cinnamon
2 c. icing sugar
1-1/2 tea. vanilla

Dissolve yeat in water. Add the eggs, shortening, pumpkin, milk, sugars, pudding mixes, salt and flour. Let rise till double in size, then roll out and add butter, br. sugar and cinnamon. Bake at 350 for 22- 28 min or until golden brown. In small bowl mix water, butter and cinnamon. Add icing sugar and vanilla, beat until smooth. Spread over buns, serve warm. YUMMO!!!!!

Brooklyn had an awards ceremony where she got a "responsible learner" award. I tried to take some pictures, but she had her paper in front of her face the whole time, stinker! Good Job, Brookie!

I think I just might have to steal this recipe! I love anything pumpkin. But I'm pretty sure I don't have the awesome cinnamon roll making skills that you and your mother possess! I think I'll try it anyway! Thanks for the recipe.

Brooklyn or Emree?

Brooklyn or Emree?
Just thought you all might like to see how much Brooklyn and Emree look alike, its kind of scary actually! Especially that Emree wears all the clothes that Brooklyn used to wear, I better make sure I get the right name to the right picture in the scrapbooks...well photo albums anyway. This is Brooklyn when she was 10 months old!

My Pride and Joy!
Next to my kids this is my pride and joy, I love working in the garden! Chas likes it too, he doesn't have to weed! Actually he always takes care of the kids while I spend time there. It's so nice!

Funny Story 1

Well I haveto share this funny story about Brooklyn. There is a little girl in our primary who got her appendix out shortly after she was baptized and showed Brooklyn her scar, so here is Brooklyn's conversation with me the other day. Brooklyn: "Mom I don't think I want to get baptized." Me: "Why not?" Brook: "It's too scary." And I'm thinking she loves the water, what is the problem? Me: "Whats scary about it?" Brook: "I don't want to go to the hospital and be cut open after I am baptized." I started laughing!!! "You think everyone has to be cut open after they get baptized?" Brook: yes, Jenny did and she even showed me her scar. So I had to explain to her that that was not part of getting baptized, it just happened that it was close to the same time with Jenny. I thought it was so hilarious, you never know what your kids are actually thinking!!
