a few more
I love the little yawns he has, like someone said the other day, "looks like its going to swallow him" Their yawns are so big! I wish I could yawn like that and then fall asleep in a matter of seconds!

Poor Brooklyn got so sick the weekend of spring break, she had stuff come out both ends for about 4 hours straight and then off and on for 2 days. This is her after one of her many baths, totally exausted, sleeping on her panties cause she didn't have the energy to put them on. I wasn't about to wake her, at least she was relaxing for a minute before the next wave hit!Poor girl!!!

More on Beckett
Beckett is getting so big already! When we took him in at 1 1/2 weeks he had already gained a pound, so I bet he is getting close to 10-11 pounds already. He is such a good baby and is starting to sleep pretty good at night. He has big blue eyes and is already showing some long lashes, gotta keep up with his brother. His acne is Finally! going away, which will be so nice when taking pictures. He is very smiley and has tried talking to us a couple of times. We are so excited to see lots of family this weekend when we bless him, it'll be fun!

Gettting better

We are on the mend!! YEah for being healthy, plus Beckett only woke up once last night, yep once! Midnight and then not till 6am. How sweet would that be? I could handle that kind of schedule. Here are a few more pictures, but I haven't taken very many, pathetic I know. We are getting used to having him around and the kids love being able to hold him. This week is spring break and it has been SO NICE!! to have Brooklyn home, she is such a big help and loves to hold him and take care of him. He is such a good baby and only cries when he's hungry, his cough is almost gone thank goodness! I really love being a mom, I feel like I have come out of a coma after the first few weeks of recovery and lack of sleep, then being sick, now I am feeling much better. My floor even got mopped the other day! Here's to accomplishing little things each day!! (I promise I will get some more pictures up soon, these are not very good ones of him.)

Sickie, sickie...
Well I am still here, things have been a little crazy! Chas has been sick since the day after Beckett was born, which has been almost a month. What the heck a month has already passed by, where have I been? Oh ya just trying to make it through one day at a time, but I really can't believe he will be weeks on wednesday! He has whatever crud Chas has had, and the poor little guy just sounds awful. He has been coughing so hard that he doesn't even have a voice left, so you can't even hardly hear him cry. He finally has kept his food down today, after I finally called someone to come over and give him a blessing. He has been coughing and choking so much he hasn't kept much down, and I have had several loads of laundry to do! I can handle a little spit up, but when he soaks the whole front of my shirt, SICK! He has gained weight though he is now 9 lbs. and he has the cutest double chin. Now if we can just get everyone to feeling better we will be ready for the nice warm weather which is here, hopefully for a little while. And one other thing, I have already mentioned my wonderful friends a time or two on here, but I have to tell you about last night and what my friend did for me. I called Brent (friend) t0 come over and give Chas and Beckett a blessing so Donna came with him to check on us and see if they could do anything, they stayed for a bit and then went home to get a humidifier for us to use since ours bit the dust a couple days ago, so she came back with the humidifier and insisted on staying up with Beckett while I get some rest, mind you it is already 9 at night. She knew I was feeling a little stressed with Chas totally out and not being able to help at all, and at the end of my rope! So she stayed at our house until 12 :30 holding Beckett and making sure he was ok, since he has been breathing so hard and choking it makes me nervous to sleep to soundly. So she just held him while I slept for a couple of hours. Talk about a wonderful friend!! She is amazing! We all love her so much! Thanks Donna! So we are hopefully on the road to recovery, he has been eating better today and keeping it down, so that is an improvement. Amazing what faith and prayers can do even if you think they are little, Heavenly Father hears them all!

Long nights...
Well I definitely have forgotten how long the nights can be when some little body decides that he doesn't want to sleep! Although last night was actually a good night the two before that were... terrible! up for 2-3 hours in the middle of the night is not what I call a good time. But last night he went to bed at 8, woke up at 12, 4, 6 so all in all not too bad. It's funny how much better you feel in the morning with a good nights rest, well as good as its gonna get for awhile. I have been so blessed with so many wonderful friends here who have watched my kids, brought us dinner and have really taken care of us. It really makes me realize how much we can do for each other, and that I really need to get on the ball and be better at serving others. I really couldn't have survived these two weeks without all the help we have been given. We all went to sacrament meeting on sunday, the first place we all have gone together, and MAN! our family seems so big now! 3, never really seemed much more than 2, but for me I think 4 is the kicker! It still seems weird! Hopefully I get use to it soon!

Beckett

Here is Brooklyn helping out, cleaning the bathroom, she is a good little worker.
We are alive and doing pretty well. Most of you know my history of nursing and this time we haven't had any troubles (besides the pain of nursing for the first couple of weeks!) but so far so good, no mastitis yet, I am keeping my fingers crossed that this time we will be fine. I am doing every preventive measure known! He is sleeping 3-4 hours at a time which is so nice. He also takes a binky of which I am so grateful! He is such a blessing to have in our home, there is nothing like a new little spirit to have around. The kids love him and can't get enough of him. Brady always asks Beckett, "Are we going to be best buddies? You betcha!" Emree can't stand it when he cries and is always trying to put his blanket on or give him his binky. I think Brooklyn feels a little left out cause she is at school all day, but she of course loves him and always wants to hold him too.

Surprise!
Well I had to post today just because I got a huge surprise this morning. I woke up and helped get everyone ready for church, they all left and I fed Beckett and then fell asleep on the chair snuggling with him. About an hour later I heard the door open, not time for the kids to be home from church yet... and lo and behold it was my mom and 2 sisters!!! I was so surprised I think we all started laughing and then crying. Anyway I am so glad they are here!

Beckett Ray Hutchins

Well he is here!! YAY! I so love having a new baby! He even decided to come on his own before we went to be induced. Here is a little rundown
4:00 Marissa got into town, I cannot thank her enough for watching the kids for 4 days while I was out!
5:00 Made and ate dinner, contractions started to pick up and get harder
6:00 Laid down on the couch
6:45 water broke, k not sure how anyone would not know their water broke!!! That was kind of crazy!
7:30 Got into hospital, got settled in and started having some hard contractions like 2 min apart 4 cm
9:15 Epidural, HEAVEN! I gotta hand it to all of you who can do it natural!
9:45 Contractions started slowing down, started pitocin, Beckett's heart rate went WAY down to 62 instead of his regular 140, so they had me get onto my hands and knees to try and see if that would help him. Put a scalpel monitor on his head, also another thing to pump some more fluid in around him to see if that would help his heart rate, his cord was obviously being squished somewhere
10:00 Thank goodness after stopping the pit he decided he would be a good boy and kept his heart rate fairly normal, I DID not want to have a C section
12:00 am 6 cm, 80% things going good
12:45 complete and ready to push, and he was born at 1:08 am Feb 25 8 lbs. 21 1/2 inches long
we are doing good, but don't expect very many posts in the near future!! Thanks for all your prayers and thoughts!

5 more days
Well here is a little update on us... Went to the dr. wed, he told me I was a two, little closer to three, maybe, YIPPEE!! Anyway we set an induction date for Wed the 25. Now those of you who have never lived away from ALL family, don't judge me. It is nice that I can plan on where my kids will be going and what to do with them. Several of my sisters- in- law offered to come down and watch them, so we are taking one of them up on the offer. Since she is still 4 hours away I figured it would be nice if we could just plan it instead of calling her in the middle of the night and saying "Come quick!" Besides the fact I was induced with Emree and labor was 4 hours, compared to the 12- 14 it was with the other two, who we waited for. So I am not at all biased towards being induced, it is much more convenient, maybe not as exciting though. Anyway I go back in on Monday to see if he can do anything else that maybe will start me before Wed, but if not the 25 is the big day, if all goes well. So if you think about us, send a little prayer! We are all so excited and can't wait to meet this little guy.

see if this works
Well I wrote a couple of days ago, but the computer wouldn't let me post it so here goes another try! I have been so busy trying to get things ready for the baby. Yesterday I made 2 pans of chicken enchiladas, 1 lasagna, 1 fajita mix, 1 chicken casserole, all to stick in the freezer. I was TIRED! Chas left yesterday to go to Salem for the week for some kind of river restoration class, man I miss having him home at night. I slept horribly and woke up early, so we shall see how this day goes! I am so anxious to have the baby at least then I will have a reason to get up and be up in the middle of the night, ahhh the grass is always greener on the other side! I am sure in a couple of weeks I will be complaining of him being awake all night long.
We had a fun Valentines Days, we went out for dinner and then went up to the stake center for a dance they were having. I was surprised at how many people were there. It was a lot of fun, cute decorations and dancing always bring back fun memories. Although I have to admit, we are not the cultured dancers that I would like to be. We pretty much can 2 step and do a little bit of swing and thats it, but it was fun. (Even with my big belly in the way)
I got Brady's curtains finished and they look really cute, so I think my list is dwindling and almost finished , YEAH for getting things done!

check!!!
Well two things on my list are checked off! YEAH! Thanks to my wonderful husband and his handy-ness (is that a word?) we have finished Brady's closet and it looks wonderful! The drawers were made out of an old big dresser that was in my room, (brown and nasty) he cut them down to size and I painted them. Amazing what a coat of paint and some new hardware will do! Now I just need to get all the baby clothes found (I hope you have most of them Trina!) and then stick them on the shelves and VOILA, we will be organized! Well as much as I can be. And here are a couple of pictures of the curtains in the living room that I finished up as well. I found some cute material for curtains for Brady's room so that is my project this week. Anyway there's our update... oh and for the baby update 3 weeks left, he has dropped and I am at 1 cm, like that means anything, but hey there's always hope for one coming early right! (Ya RIGHT!)

Brady... keeps us laughing

Another funny thing Brady said:
Yesterday I had him go in and get the laundry out of the dryer to bring to me, He went in for a couple of minutes and came out with a worried expression on his face,
"what's wrong?"
"The wash machine is making really loud noises."
"I'ts ok, it's just spinning all the water out of the clothes."
"Oh ok, for a minute there I thought she was gonna blow!"
Couldn't help but laugh!

Lots to do....
Well today was my last day doing the nursery at the gym here in town. I am glad to be done with that after having done it for a year and a half now. Although it was nice to be able to use all the facilities for free! And an extra bonus they will let me keep going for a couple of extra weeks, even though I am done with the nursery. So it pays to be reliable! Anyway I have been painting trim and I can officially say I am all done the trim, yippeee!!! I tore down the shelves in Bradys closet (made a few holes while I was at it, had to patch them) and now it is all ready for Chas to build the new shelves. For any of you with handy husbands like mine, I found an awesome website that lets you design the closet for free and gives you the plans and everything. Of course they want you to buy it from them, but hey Chas can build it so it's much more affordable. Anyway its very cool http://www.easyclosets.com/. So now the question is if he will get it done before the baby comes, hopefully a couple of weeks before so I have somewhere to put the babies clothes and organize them before he makes his grand entrance. Chas thinks he can do it in a day if I gave him the full Saturday, while I still think it will take a couple of weeks. I will keep you posted....
Oh and I almost forgot I (of course with Danielle's help) made some curtains for the living room, and if I do say so myself, look great! I love them! I will have to take some pictures at night though, cause the glare is too bright in the daytime. Anyway lots to do before the baby gets here, which is good, it gives me a deadline!

Trip to Spokane...
Well we had a fun trip to Spokane last week, we just went for the weekend, but we had a great time! It was fun to see my brothers place and hang with out them for a couple of days. We went to the YMCA which was so fun. The place was AMAZING!!! it was pretty new and the place made me drool. (I went to school in rec. management and it has always been my dream to be a director of a place like that, it was way cool. Chas said I should see if we could get one in La Grande, YA RIGHT!!! The residents have to have a lot of money to pay for one like that.) Anyway... the pictures will tell you how nice it was
My cousin, sister-in-law, sister, imitating me doing the can can, thanks a lot guys!!
I was making cookies this morning and tried to think of something to keep Emree busy while I was baking, this worked out well, plus the oatmeal container needed to be filled, two birds with one stone.
Some more dancing, Brooklyn loved being with Marissa who loves to dance and sing and dressup!

Kids Prayers
Last night we decided we would go up to Spokane this weekend to visit my brother before the baby comes, this is Brady's prayer:
"Please help us to drive safe, please help the car to run and be full with lots of gas."
That would've been really nice when gas prices were so high! Wouldn't it be fun to get inside their little heads and see exactly how they see the world? Talk about a learning experience!!! I love the things they say.
Also last night Brooklyn said, "Mom I think you've convinced me to like the name "?" (baby name, can't say it for sure or I might jinx myself) I said" You know I think I have convinved Dad too." She said, "Ya I think that would be ok with me." I have had the worst time trying to get everyone on my side, I think I have called him "?" for so long that no one can even think of calling him anything else anymore! YEAH!! Mark that one down for ME!!!!

Warning...lots and lots of pictures!
In no particular order here are some pictures of our fun Christmas and holidays! We had such a wonderful time and are looking forward to summer vacation! already!
Emree was soooo excited for her birthday! All day she kept singing the birthday song and dancing around. When it was time for presents she couldn't sit still. She loved her cake with strawberries and pink frosting, and she had fun trying to blow out her sparkler candles.
Birthday pancake
Here are a couple of pictures we took before church in front of the tree. I didn't get the girls Christmas dresses this year, Emree's still fit from last and Brooklyn got a hand me down from Riley! and they matched close enough. But I still didn't get pictures in them, these are just of some other sunday clothes, but they turned out cute!

A couple of posts I told you Brady always falls asleep on the hall floor, well one night Chas couldn't find him anywhere and was starting to get worried ( I was asleep on the couch) anyway he found him in the hall closet, he is so funny! It's kind of nice to know that your kids can fall asleep anywhere!

Whew!!! Opening present will wear you out!!! I love this picture of Emree and "Pops" both sleeping after we opened presents and had breakfast. (I think I have too many pictures of my kids sleeping, but they are so cute and peaceful when they are asleep!)
Brooklyn's birthday party at school, it was the same day I went to help out, so it worked out perfectly!
We so loved having Chas' parents with us for Christmas, the kids sure enjoy having them around, too bad they didn't live closer. Thanks for coming Vovo and Pops!!!

Here is our annual picture in front of the Christmas tree we picked out! It was weird not to have any snow while picking it out, but it has made up for it since then! WE have had a TON of snow!
Emree sleeping with books, I hope my kids keep up this love for reading!
Brooklyn at the ward Christmas party with Santa
LOVE this one of BRady, he looks so sharp! (I don't have one of Emree because she refused to go up and sit on his lap, oh well maybe next year!

And the last one for the day. My brother came up and stayed with the kids for the weekend while Chas and I went to tri-cities. He took the kids on the Santa train and they had a lot of fun! Thanks Ezra and Lindsey for watching the kids. It was nice to get all of our Christmas shopping done in 2 hours!!! And it was nice an relaxing to have a little break!

Do I look that young?
THis morning during spin class a girl next to me asked me when I was due. I told her I had 8 weeks left, she said wow! is this your first? I thought "Sweet do I look that young?" Then I also thought "Wait a minute people are having their first kids in their 40's nowadays, so I didn't know if should take it as a compliment or not. When I told her it was my 4th she said "Wow i admire you!!" Well thank you very much!! I usually get the comment of "Haven't you heard of overpopulation? or some such thing like that. So I was feeling pretty good this morning after her comment of admiration, it's about time we mothers get some respect. Too bad it's not the feeling of the majority of people out there. Besides the fact that I am very sore and completely wore out by this time of day, I really do love going to spin and now that's one more reason to keep going! at least for one more month! and then I think I will take a break....

Brooklyn or Emree?
Just thought you all might like to see how much Brooklyn and Emree look alike, its kind of scary actually! Especially that Emree wears all the clothes that Brooklyn used to wear, I better make sure I get the right name to the right picture in the scrapbooks...well photo albums anyway. This is Brooklyn when she was 10 months old!
First day of School!
My Pride and Joy!
Next to my kids this is my pride and joy, I love working in the garden! Chas likes it too, he doesn't have to weed! Actually he always takes care of the kids while I spend time there. It's so nice!
Funny Story 1
Well I haveto share this funny story about Brooklyn. There is a little girl in our primary who got her appendix out shortly after she was baptized and showed Brooklyn her scar, so here is Brooklyn's conversation with me the other day.
Brooklyn: "Mom I don't think I want to get baptized."
Me: "Why not?"
Brook: "It's too scary."
And I'm thinking she loves the water, what is the problem?
Me: "Whats scary about it?"
Brook: "I don't want to go to the hospital and be cut open after I am baptized."
I started laughing!!! "You think everyone has to be cut open after they get baptized?"
Brook: yes, Jenny did and she even showed me her scar.
So I had to explain to her that that was not part of getting baptized, it just happened that it was close to the same time with Jenny. I thought it was so hilarious, you never know what your kids are actually thinking!!
What a handsome boy!
Achoo!
Emree right before a sneeze~
Something"s funny!
